    without asking anything in return

    Exemple:

    M-ādɨ̄-ī ngōn-ḿ sádɨ̀gà tɨ́.

    I give you my child without asking anything in return {such as marriage, work, etc.}.

  • ɗāa sádɨ̀gà

    perform a sacrifice {normally for ancestors}

    Exemple:

    m̄-já mósɨ́ m̄-ɗāa-ǹ sádɨ̀gà m-ādɨ̄ ngé-kòy-gɨ̄.

    I killed an animal as a sacrifice to my dead ancestors.

  • ɓāl kɨ́ gògɨ́ dá m-ā m̄-ɗāa sádɨ̀gà lò bɔ̀ɔ̄-ḿ.

    Next year I'm going to perform the sacrifice for my father {who has died}.
